DESCRIPTION:Join us in a celebratory ride to celebrate of the completion of the 50 mile stretch of the Northeast Texas Trail from Roxton to Clarksville! \nThis event page will serve as a platform for information and discussion for all involved & participating in this event. \nIt is a non-supported ride with no fee at all\, so make personal plans for your ride. You can start where you want and ride far as you want. Each trail town will provide a refreshment location and other perks for the riders that come through. \nTrail towns include: Clarksville\, Bagwell\, Detroit\, Blossom\, Reno\, Paris\, and Roxton \nPREREGISTER FOR A REWARD:\nThose who preregister will be able to collect commemorative buttons in each trail town. If you collect all seven buttons\, present those to a trail town monitor and you will be put into a drawing for a prize from Cycle Works Paris valued at $100! \nPreregister HERE\nThere will be a commemorative tshirt for the Gran Fondo 50 that can be purchased from the online store with Screen Graphics. All trail towns will be highlighted on the shirt. \nWhat a great way to get out with the family\, ride together\, and celebrate new sections of the Northeast Texas Trail! Come and experience the magic of our enchanted woods.\nChildren are invited to dress in their finest fairy\, gnome\, or troll attire. Enjoy a fairy-tale read by the Fairy Godmother herself\, followed by face painting\, crafts\, and more. Children’s activities will take place from 10am to 12pm at the Trailhead on Airport Road.\nThe trail will be decorated all day for Opening Day for Trails.

DESCRIPTION:This event has been POSTPONED due to rain & stormy conditions!  Please watch for updates and reschedule date on Reno Parks and Trail Committee’s facebook page. \nThe Don’t mess with Texas Trash-Off is the single largest one-day cleanup event in the state and serves as Texas’s signature event for the Great American Cleanup\, the nation’s largest community improvement program. The Don’t mess with Texas Trash-Off is part of TxDOT’s litter prevention program\, which includes Don’t mess with Texas\, Adopt-a-Highway\, and a grassroots partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful.\nJoin us and be a part of this great event. Your participation sends a clear message to Texans everywhere: The smallest efforts really do make the biggest difference. Take pride in the fact that you were part of making our great state beautiful. Join in on this event and help us make a difference. \nWe will meet at Reno Kiwanis Park at 9am to be split into teams. Each team will be assigned specific areas of Reno and the Trail to pick up trash and debris to keep our community beautiful. Please wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes or boots. Trash bags and drinking water will be provided. A free lunch will be served at the park immediately following the event.\nThere will be a prize for the person who finds the most unusual item during the cleanup!
